Norteño Music with Los Catanes Del Norte
Wednesday, Apr 15th
Los Catanes del Norte will perform music from different regions in Mexico including corridos, rancheras, and boleros norteños.

Ethiopian Jazz with the Addis Collective
Wednesday, Apr 22nd
The Addis Collective is a Santa Barbara-based band focusing on the 60s — 70's era Ethiopian Jazz. The style is a mix of solid groove, Reggae-esque hypnotic sound textures and improvised Jazz Soloing.

UCSB GAMELAN ENSEMBLE
Wednesday, Apr 29
Directed by Richard North, the UCSB Gamelan Ensemble will showcase an ancient style of gamelan from Cirebon, West Java, featuring dynamic drumming, delicate melodies, and lively interlocking rhythms.

The Jasmine Echo Chinese Ensemble
Wednesday, May 6
The UCSB-based student ensemble, The Jasmine Echo Chinese Ensemble, will perform both classic and popular works on traditional Chinese musical instruments. 

UCSB Music of India Ensemble
Wednesday, May 13
Scott Marcus leads a performance of North Indian classical music performed on sitar-s with tabla accompaniment by Ziyad Marcus.

UCSB GOSPEL CHOIR
Wednesday, May 20th
Directed by Victor Bell, the choir will perform traditional and contemporary songs drawn from African American religious traditions.

UCSB Son Jarocho Ensemble 
Wednesday, May 27th
Directed by Jorge Mijangos, the UCSB Son Jarocho Ensemble presents music and dance from Veracruz, Mexico that blends Mexican, Spanish and African elements.

Co-sponsored by the UCSB MultiCultural Center and the Department of Music.
