Join us for a conversation about managing our landscape of risk featuring a panel of experts: Derek Booth, Senior Geologist, Stillwater Sciences and Adjunct Professor at UC Santa Barbara; Summer Gray, Assistant Professor UC Santa Barbara Environmental Studies Program; Patrick McElroy, Executive Director, The Project for Resilient Communities; and a representative from the National Weather.
Panelists will discuss strategies to reduce risk of debris flows associated with heavy rains, fires, and flood; approaches to forecasting; and strengths and challenges associated with communicating risk.
