As part of the 2023 UCSB Summer Carillon Recital Series, Brunston Poon (Assistant Carillonist, UC Berkeley) will present a recital from the carillon in UCSB’s Storke Tower on Sunday, August 6th at 2:00 pm. Listeners are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on the grass outside the tower during the recital.

Brunston Poon was appointed an Assistant Carillonist at UC Berkeley in January 2023, having previously served as an Associate Carillonist. He maintains an active performance schedule in Berkeley and abroad, having performed for the National Carillon Days and other recitals in southern France last year. He began studying carillon with Jeff Davis at UC Berkeley in 2019, passing his GCNA carillonneur examination in 2020. Brunston also enjoys arranging music, playing duets, and sharing his love for carillon and music with others. When not playing carillon, he works as a satellite ground software engineer and flight director at space infrastructure startup Loft Orbital.
