Shrunken Heads Production Company is proud to present Footloose: The Musical, based on the iconic 1984 film about Ren McCormack, a teenager from Chicago who moves to a small town where music and dancing are banned. Through determination, rebellion, and the power of music, Ren challenges tradition and inspires a community to rediscover joy, freedom, and self-expression. 

Featuring explosive dance numbers, unforgettable hit songs, including the title track Footloose, brought to life by a live orchestra performed by UCSB student musicians. Shrunken Heads Production Company, with support from the UC Santa Barbara Department of Music, presents a completely student-run production showcasing exceptional student performers & musicians alongside a dedicated creative, musical, and production team, delivering a vibrant, high-energy musical and theatrical experience.
