https://shoreline.ucsb.edu/SEAL/rsvp_boot?id=2268017The UCSB Restorative Justice Program and MultiCultural Center are honored to host Dr. Fania Davis, a leading international voice on the intersections of racial justice, restorative justice, healing, and indigeneity.
A longtime activist, civil rights attorney, author, and educator with a PhD in Indigenous Knowledge, Dr. Davis has spent decades in global movements for justice—from civil rights and Black liberation to peace, anti-apartheid, and healing justice. She is the founder of Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth and co-founder of the National Association of Community and Restorative Justice.
In this timely conversation, Dr. Davis will invite us to imagine new possibilities for justice and healing in a society still shaped by white supremacy, asking how we might release old structures and create pathways of repair and transformation.
The first 75 people in attendance will receive a free copy of Dr. Davis’ book "The Little Book of Racial and Restorative Justice"
There is no cost to this event. This is open to anyone in the UCSB and greater Santa Barbara community. Light appetizers will be served. RSVP is highly encouraged, we will close registration once capacity is reached.
