The concert will feature performances on sitar-s and tabla-s: 1st-year students will present rag Bhairavi. The advanced students will present rag Malkauns.

We are especially excited to include a performance of kathak (North Indian classical dance) by Esha Shrivastava with vocal accompaniment by Shravan Murlidaran and a performance of bharatanatyam (South Indian classical dance) by Arjun Acharya with veena accompaniment by Sarvesh Jayaraman.

Directed by Scott Marcus, the UCSB Music of India Ensemble will present North Indian classical music for sitar and tabla on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 7:30 pm in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall at the UC Santa Barbara campus.
