Kartik Sundaram, tenor

Kartik Sundaram's Senior Vocal recital celebrates the completion of four years of vocal study with Professor Benjamin Brecher. Works by Tosti, Quilter, Hahn, and Schubert will be performed.

Kartik Sundaram is an Indian-American Tenor from San Diego, CA. Kartik is double-majoring in BS Biopsychology and BA Music Studies at UC Santa Barbara where he studies Voice with Professor Benjamin Brecher. Kartik previously studied with Jim Tompkins-MacLaine and Anne Whattoff. Kartik’s solo accolades include being a finalist in the San Diego National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition multiple times as a high schooler. In choirs, Kartik’s finest moments include winning the individual Maestro Award at the WorldStrides Anaheim Heritage Festival, touring Italy and Austria, and being selected for the CA All-State Honor Choir in 2019. At UCSB, Kartik serves as the President of the UCSB Chamber Choir and is an undergraduate researcher in the Dennis O. Clegg lab.
