May 23, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the Isla Vista tragedy that claimed the lives of six UCSB students and injured 14 others on May 23, 2014.

Remembrance and memorial events have been planned and organized by UC Santa Barbara Associated Students, the UC Santa Barbara Library, UC Santa Barbara Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL), the Isla Vista Community Services District (IVCSD), Isla Vista Recreation & Park District, and Santa Barbara City College. Events will take place throughout the day on the UC Santa Barbara campus and in the Isla Vista community:

• Isla Vista Memorial Exhibition: Available for public viewing from May 14, 2024 to June 17, 2024 | UCSB Library Library Mountain Gallery
• Garden Remembrance Event: May 23rd, 2024 | 12pm - 1pm | Love and Remembrance Garden: 977 Embarcadero Del Norte
• Origami Folding Event: May 23, 2024 | 2-4pm | UCSB Library Fishbowl (first floor oceanside)
• Memorial Paddle-Out: May 23, 2024 | 7pm | Devereux Beach
• Memorial Board Reproductions: The boards will be on display from May 14, 2024 to May 31, 2024 | Pardall Center
• Origami Crane Display: View the original origami crane display constructed in 2017  | Student Resource Building (SRB)
• Reflection Space: The Reflection Space will be open from May 27, 2024 to May 31, 2024 | Pardall Center
